Great job with horses. Starts mid November We have a horse sales yard based in Co. Leitrim, Ireland. The farm is located on the outskirts of the town at the base of Sliabh an Larann Mountain and near Lough Allen, on quiet country roads. There are nice quiet trekking routes with lovely scenery.There are 22 stables in the yard. A mix of sales and livery horses. I generally have 10 horses for sale at a time. I have a pub as well which has taken up a lot of my time recently and I do not have time to put the work into riding the horses and bringing them on.I am looking for someone who can work with the horses to bring them to their full potential. I don't rush to sell a horse. I like to give them time, get mileage on them, get them out to shows-show jumping, dressage, showing, cross country etc and get enjoyment out of them before finding them a new home. The ideal candidate will work along with me, the majority of their time will be focused on riding and working with the horses while I muck out but ideally I am looking for someone who can turn their hand to whatever needs to be done. Feeding, mucking out, grooming and handling horses daily./-showjumping, dressage, and cross country.Accommodation is a room in my mother-in laws modern house in the town of Drumshanbo with my wife. The house is 2 km from the yard, and can be picked up and dropped off. There is a local bus service that connects to the main town which has bus and train routes to the rest of Ireland. I have three young children so I wouldn’t have room in my own house to have a room for anyone, wouldn’t want to inflict that on anyone either!My mother in law is in her 60’s, we have a few helpers in the yard that are in their early 20’s and also work in my pub in town as well. I’m sure they could bring them out and introduce them to other people their own age.There is a riding club in the town that I am a member of and will sign them up for, they have lessons weekly and go to competitions together, it would be a good place to meet others with similar interests.I don’t supply the food, the candidate will buy their own food. There is a shop in town that cooks a really good dinner for a reasonable price if they don't like cooking. More details
