I'm looking for a new home for my 16-year-old Tinker gelding.
He's been with me for 14 years; I bought him at the age of two from Schrankenschneiderhof (Germany).
He was gently broken in at the age of five. We spent most of our time outdoors. He's always there, over hill and dale. We've also been on riding holidays and to the lake.
He was broken in by the national trainer, Mr. C. Geiger, about four years ago.
He hasn't been ridden since then, but is now driven sporadically.
He's trained in groundwork, enjoys liberty dressage, and can do some circus exercises.
All in all, a great leisure horse.
However, he needs an experienced handler, as a Tinker, he can be stubborn and likes to assert himself. With good consistency and horse knowledge, he's a great partner.
He's always unobtrusive in the herd, usually in a low rank.
He has been kept in an open stable his entire life.
He can still be ridden, but currently needs some training due to his weak back muscles.
He is a horse that can stand still for months, saddled or harnessed, and he does everything.
He has never been sick, has excellent hooves, strong joints (he is more of the old, sturdy type), and no mud fever. Osteopathic treatment and regular dental care. Height approximately 1.53 m.
