I have a vision...
I have a vision of opening up a small business, a new type of equestrian center, a wholistic home for horses.
A small " inackordering " / collective stable where a new type of equestrian can feel at home existing in harmony with their horse.
One who believes that the horse's needs always comes first before our personal agenda and desires is normalised. Giving your horse agency and autonomy, deep listening & holding safe space for humans and horses is normalised.
One where being a non ridden horse is normalised. One where groundwork, liberty tarining, +R , trust and connection training is normalised. One where riding for pleasure only ( this includes the horse and their pleasure ) is normalised. One where it is perfectly natural if your horse says no, I would rather not ride today is normalised. One where we wait to ride our horse until after age 6 years old is normalised because we know thier bones are not fully fused yet. One where being barefoot, bareback and bitless is normalised. One where a species appropriate diet is normalised. One where LIMA ( Least Invasive, Minimally Adversive ) training techniques are normalised. One where living losdrift is normalised. ( with a fantastic "ligghall " that uses natural/ renewable resources for bedding and track system for our horses exists for their enrichment during turnout ( we will build it together ) or varied natural terrain for our horses to roam free 24/ 7 with other horses is normalised. Friends, Forage & Freedom ) One where the choice for a wholistic minded vet, farrier and barefoot trimmer is normalised. One where complimentary therapies for our horses is normalised, such as the use of herbs and different modalities of massage and bodywork is normalised. ( NOT instead of medical care but IN ADDITION TO ) One where we learn from each other, where help & support for one another is normalised. One where we continuously widen our knowledge base and deepen our wisdom about horses is normalised. One where we refer to ourselves as friends, companions, family & guardians of horses is normalised. One where our time w our horses is spent in harmony with nature, where our first choice is to use sustainable and renewable resources in our construction is normalised. One where we constantly strive to co exist with our stable family / friends in a state of respect for one another and our horses, where living together healthy, happy and in peace is normalised.
